Fehily Confirmed For Blaklion National Ride

In-form jockey Noel Fehily has been booked to ride Blaklion in the Aintree Grand National next month. The 2016 RSA Chase winner has been aimed at the big race for some time now and the addition of a jockey such as Fehily is sure to boost confidence in his chances.

Noel Fehily is fresh off of a remarkable Cheltenham Festival that saw him claim both the Champion Hurdle and the Queen Mother Champion Chase, and he will now have eyes on adding the National to his CV.

Nigel Twiston-Davies has moved quick to book Fehily for the ride on Blaklion, who was last seen finishing a very creditable 2nd in the Haydock Grand National Trial. Connections decided to swerve the Cheltenham Festival completely with the horse in favour of going straight to Liverpool, and that is very interesting considering the lure of a Gold Cup run must have been tempting.

Fehily will be delighted to have picked up such a prominent ride on Blaklion, with the 8YO a general 14/1 shot at the time of writing in the Grand National Betting. Noel Fehily has already ridden 104 winners over jumps this season, and he will be delighted to have picked up such a strong ride at Aintree.
