Trainer Mouse Morris dropped a bombshell on the 2009 Aintree Grand National when he announced that his War Of Attrition will not now line up for the race this coming Saturday
It is a great blow for the race as it was believed by many that War Of Attrition could be become only the third horse in history to win both the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand National. He had been backed into as short as 12-1; with many Bookmakers beleiving that he might go off favourite come the big day.
Morris has said that the horse is just not right at the moment and that it would be unfair for him to lump 11st 9lb around the Aintree fences, when he is clearly not himself. Morris will now be content with just one entry, Hear The Echo, who is around the 20-1 mark
