Dream Alliance Could Head For Aintree After Welsh Success

The winner of the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow just after Christmas was Dream Alliance, he could now be heading to Aintree for a crack at the big race over the big fences. He was impressive at Chepstow and has been installed near the top end of the market for the 2010 Grand National as a result. He looked in excellent shape that day and clearly looks to be an ideal National type, many punters have noticed his potential and there are no doubt plenty of backers for him at Aintree.

The Welsh National was run over 3m 5f on very heavy ground so there is no doubt obout his ability to stay, he jumped well all the way round as well to leave the good field trailing in his wake. In his earlier days he showed good potential as a Chaser, he came in second behind Denman in the 2007 Hennessy Gold Cup which highlights his talent as a youngster. He had an 18 moth lay-off with a tendon injury but he is back now and it appears better than ever, he will now attract plenty of money for the National and can currently be backed at around 33/1 with VC bet to claim the win at Aintree.

As we are now into the new year the countdown to this years Grand National is starting to hot up and there will be some excellent prep races in the coming weeks. The Grand National Odds should be adjusted on a regular basis with all the main contenders jockeying for position as the worlds biggest steeplechase draws ever closer.
