Snowy Morning Looking Good For Another Grand National Bid

Snowy Morning looks set for another crack at the Grand National in 2010 after impressing on his last run at Thurles, Snowy Morning has become somewhat of a Grand National favourite with punters over the last couple of years and looks set for another Aintree attempt. On each of the last two years the Willie Mullins trained horse has been well fancied for the National, he came in 3rd in 2008 and 9th last years and will no doubt attract some good each/way money once again in 2010.

His odds have been cut slightly during the season for the National and that was highlighted with a good second last time out in the Kinloch Brae Chase at Thurles behind Newmill, that race was over 2m 4f and although he didn't have the class to win the race he looked like he was staying with ease which is a good sign for Aintree. Snowy Morning can now be backed at 33/1 with Paddy Power currently for the 2010 National which looks excellent value for a horse that is likely to get round, the suggestion is that he has seen his best days but on current form looks a decent shout for a place at Aintree.

Meanwhile the Grand National betting is continuing to look open with several horses in with a realistic shout according to the bookmakers. The likes of Tricky Trickster, Possol, Vic Venturi, Black Apalachi and Big Fella Thanks among many others are still occupying the top of the betting for the big race. The upcoming Blue Square Gold Cup is likely to yield further hints with several National contenders expected to go as a prep for the Aintree fences.
