Timmy Murphy Takes Ride On Comply Or Die

After several days of speculation Timmy Murphy has decided to stay on board Comply Or Die for the 2010 Grand National on Saturday as opposed to jumping to The Package. Comply Or Die won the National in 2008 and came second last year with Murphy on board and he has decided to stay loyal to a horse that has brought him great success at Aintree.

There had been some thought that Murphy would jump on The Package who has been having a great season. He looks a good stayer but his lack of experience over the National fences and distance seems to have made Murphy's mind up. Comply Or Die is now available at 16/1 with Paddy Power for a second success in the race and he will be the subject of a big gamble. Murphy clearly feels that Comply Or Die is the more likely of the two on Saturday and it is difficult to argue with that fact based on the last two years. His best day are behind him but he is a race specialist and looks capable of running into a place once again at the age of 11.The Package has huge potential and may go close himself but perhaps more likely to be a bigger factor in 2011 so should be watched closely.
