It is always good to get an insight from one of the leading bookmakers on what’s hot (and what’s not) for the Grand National, and bet365’s George Primarolo has provided us with a brief overview of his thoughts on this year’s race.

“I would expect the Irish pairing of Dun Doire and Far From Trouble to fight it out at the head of the market between now and April. Dun Doire has already fallen over the National fences though and Far From Trouble appeals a lot more as the likely winner. We are likely to see plenty of public support given the fact he should be partnered by Tony McCoy on the day. The eight year-old was cruising when coming to grief six out in the Irish Grand National last year but made no mistake when winning the Galway Plate four months later.
Christy Roche’s charge has already had a nice pipe-opener over hurdles recently and should he run well at the Cheltenham Festival, then he could well go off favourite. Our worst position at the moment is on Paul Nicholls’ Eurotrek but we’re more than happy to have this.”
