Snowy Morning Disappointing

Snowy Morning was very disappointing in the At The Races Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse at the weekend as he didn't jump with any fluency and, having been held up, he was struggling to make any impression four out. He just kept on at one pace in the straight, and while it's far too early to write him off for Aintree, he wouldn't be sent on this evidence. The rider reported that he made a respiratory noise in running, but he was post-race normal after veterinary examination.

The bookies moved him out in the market from ante post favourite at 10/1 to 14/1. In the same race his stablemate Hedgehunter ran his best race since chasing home Numbersixvalverde in the Grand National two years ago. He raced handily throughout, jumping well, and went in pursuit of the winner after he blundered three out but could make no impression. For all that, it was an excellent display and he ran the real Aintree trial of the two stable representatives.

Cloudy Lane went clear favourite at 10/1 after Comply Or Die won the Eider at Newcastle which boosted the form of when Cloudy Lane beat Comply Or Day, who is now a 20/1 chance.
