The Bumper Race at any Festival is always worth watching and the Flat Race on Grand National Day is always one to savour, we always get to see some of the stars of the future both during this race and at the Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival a few weeks before. A Bumper race is a flat race run under National Hunt rules and it is the best place to see younger horses that will be going over hurdles the following season.
We had a brilliant winner of the race in 2010 in the form of Megastar who has gone into be a hugely impressive novice hurdler so we can hope for a similar standard in 2012. It will be the last race of the entire Aintree Festival but it should not be forgotten, they are always exciting renewals and it gives punters one last chance to win their money back after three days of great racing.
