John Smiths Foxhunters Chase Race Card

The Foxhunters Chase is always an exciting and competitive race from a betting point of view and the race card will help punters along the way, it will be a comprehensive guide including the colours and numbers for each entry. The declarations will as always be made at the five day and 48 hour stage in the build up to the Aintree Festival in 2012 so it is worth checking out before making a bet.

Race Overview2008 Topham winner Gwanako's enthusiasm is infectious but he will not spring so easily over these fences if the ground is soft and he has, after all, failed to complete his last two starts here. He would make plenty of appeal if the going dries out but if the going is soft BOXER GEORG has a good chance of stepping up on last year's excellent second here. He ran well for a long way at Cheltenham and will have been primed for this race. Roulez Cool is also considered, with 2010 winner Silver Adonis quite likely to outrun his odds should the going take a turn for the better.[Emily Weber]
