Grand National Result 2005

From the Canal Turn there was only one winner of the Grand National 2005 as HedgeHunter took up the running here and never looked like getting beat. While on the turn into the straight there where any number of horses in a position to challenge, Ruby Walsh was sitting still with a double handful and at the elbow he gave HedgeHunter some rein and away he went to be one of the best winners of the Aintree Grand National in recent years. The one horse that could be taken out of the race was Clan Royal ridden by A P McCoy who was going really well when taken out at Beeches.
