The Form of the Grand National runners is not always easy to tie down as a lot of the main contenders run over the smaller obstacles prior to the National in order to protect their handicap marks. 1		ROYAL AUCLAIR	Not really fired this season but looks like he will get his ground.
2		HEDGEHUNTER	Last Years winner and the one to beat following excellent second in the Gold Cup.
3		CORNISH REBEL	Quirky sort but with loads of ability and not without a chance.
4		THEREALBANDIT	Would be surprised if he takes to the National fences.
5		IT TAKES TIME	Will be handy but would probably prefer soft ground small chance of making the frame.
6		LE ROI MIGUEL	Jumping usually lets him down and probably will not get home.
7		NATIVE UPMANSHIP	Has chances as has run creditably in these races over the years but probably to old in the tooth now.
8		INNOX	Definite chance following excellent run at Sandown last time one to consider.
9		SILVER BIRCH	Another Nicholls runner with ability but has not run well this year.
10		WHISPERED SECRET	Unknown quantity over these fences and best left alone.
11		RINCE RI	Would prefer softer going and will find it difficult to lay up with the pace on the prevailing ground.
12		PUNTAL	Surprised in the Betfred 2 years ago and unlikely to make it home over this extended distance.
13		LORD OF ILLUSION	A progressive sort last year but unable to dominate in his races this year but there has been some money for him.
14		EBONY LIGHT	Loves the Mud and cannot be fancied with the ground going against him.
15		FIRST GOLD	At his best would have a leading chance but the years have probably caught up with him but will love the ground.
16		CLAN ROYAL	Likely to go off favourite and very unlucky last year. Runs too free and will not get home.
17	-	LE DUC	Talented but makes errors and not one to trust.
18		SIR OJ	Big Player if he gets the distance fro an in form trainer and an interesting outsider.
19		FOREST GUNNER	The only lady rider but the Forrest will not get home.
20		JOES EDGE	Interesting runner for excellent trainer and interesting outsider.
21		JUVEIGNEUR	In form trainer and possibilities for a team who know what their doing.
22		AMBERLEIGH HOUSE	Just too old at 14 and previous winner who may get home but down the field.
23		BALLYCASSIDY	Has popped up in decent races in the past and from a trainer who understands whats required.
24		INCA TRAIL	Very interesting runner only ever does enough and in great form, worth an each way bet a long odds.
25		GARVIVONNIAN	One of the money horses having run so well at Cheltenham, chances.
26		NUMBERSIXVALVERDE	Irish National winner who probably would prefer a slog rather than good going but good jumper, possibilities.
27		IZNOGOUD	Sorry by as the name suggests!!
28		JACK HIGH	Ted Walsh knows what's required and comes here in good form.
29		HAUT DE GAMME	Another interesting runner and in decent form this winter but will probably find a number too good in this field.
30		NIL DESPERANDUM	Decentt effort last time and can not rule out.
31		BARON WINDRUSH	Not the most consistent but top jockey who knows his way round here but can not fancy.
32	-	HEROS COLLONGES	Not to ruled out from leading trainer and from a good weight may run well.
33		TYNEANDTHYNEAGAIN	The stable not been firing this season but signs of revival recently but can not be considered.
34		RISK ACCESSOR	Good jockey but even Noel will find it difficult to get this one home in front.
35		DIRECT ACCESS	Jumping frailties for this big test but leading trainer/jockey.
36		COLNEL RAYBURN	Running ok this year and possibilities off this mark from excellent trainer.
37		IRIS ROYAL	Moody sort and can not see his jumping holding out.
38		ROSS COMM	Very good jumper who stays all day would like it on the soft side. definite each way possibilities.
39		SHOTGUN WILLY	You should be shot if you back this one!
40		JUST IN DEBT	You will be if you get involved with this one!
