Silver Cross Handicap Hurdle Race Card

The Silver Cross Handicap Hurdle is the final race on the card for Day 1 at the 2013 Grand National Meeting and it will be an excellent renewal to round off a brilliant days racing at Aintree. The Race Card for this listed race will be comprehensive with each of the runners detailed at the five day and 48 hour declaration stage in the build to the first day of the Grand National Meeting.

Race OverviewA wide-open finale in which useful dual-purpose mare VEILED may be the answer, after a career-best third to Son Of Flicka in the ultra-competitive Coral Cup at Cheltenham last time and with her Flat form - notably when winning the 2m4f Ascot Stakes last June - suggesting the step up to 3m over hurdles could eke out a bit more. Gullinbursti heads the long list of dangers, ahead of Timesawastin, who is one of several possible pacesetters. [Mel Cullinan]
