Over the past three or four years Jason Maguire has turned himself into one of the leading jockeys in the UK with his winning ride in the 2012 Grand National the clear highlight. Maguire joined the Donald McCain jnr yard back in 2007 as the stable jockey and it has been the catalyst for his career going from strength-to-strength. The move in yards enabled Maguire to get on board some top class horses as the McCain stable has got stronger and stronger which looks set to continue for the foreseeable future.

That was confirmed when Maguire rode a brilliant race on board Ballabriggs to win the National in 2011 to really put his career onto a new level. Along with Ballabriggs, Maguire has also had the privilege of riding a horse like Peddlers Cross for McCain who is a top class horse. Maguire rode Peddlers to a victory in the Neptune Novices Hurdle in 2010 before finishing second on the same horse in the Champion Hurdle in 2011.
We are likely to see Maguire back on board Ballabriggs in the Grand National in 2012 but it is worth noting that the McCain yard also has a number of other impressive staying chasers coming through, meaning Jason Maguire really is a jockey to follow in the National Betting.
