The Melling Chase is one of the big races on the card for Day 2 of the 2012 Aintree Festival and the line-up for Friday is looking mouth watering. There are some cracking runners looking to take their places including Albertas Run who won the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month. He was fantastic that day and will be well backed if he can take that form into this one on Friday afternoon with AP McCoy on board.
Perhaps the interesting runner in the field this year is former dual Champion Chase winner Master Minded who is being stepped up in trip to 2m 4f for Paul Nicholls. On his day, Master Minded was sensational but he seems to have lost his edge over the posy 18 months so connections will be hoping the extra trip will suit.
