The Mildmay Novice Chase is another of the excellent races on Friday at the Grand National Festival and it i always a cracking renewal, it is run at just over the 3 mile distance so foten attracts some of the best chasers around. Traditionally we see some of the RSA Chase horses from the Cheltenham Festival head to the Mildmay at Aintree so it is often a field with a lot of quality.
Last season we saw Quito De La Roque win the race for Colm Murphy and he is expected to step up to Gold Cup company in the future so it can be an important race in the career of many young horses. While in 2008 we saw Big Buck's take the win in his chasing days, and he of course has gone onto become invincible as a staying hurdler so we often see horse of the very highest quality in the Mildmay.
