Red Rum Chase Race Card 2012

The Red Rum Chase is of course a very important race at the Aintree Festival as it is named after the three time Grand National Winner, with that in mind there is always a decent field making it an interesting race from a betting point of view. The race card will be all important here at the five day and 48 hour stages as always with the full list of contenders on offer with form details and jockey bookings.

Race OverviewHard races at Cheltenham are less of a worry this time with a longer gap than usual between the two festivals and Tanks For That and Kumbeshwar should both go well again. This might be the day for County Hurdle second EDGARDO SOL, though, as he jumped these fences really well when winning over C&D in the autumn and has only been running over hurdles in the meantime in order to take advantage of his novice status. Astracad is capable of better than he showed at Cheltenham and could also go well.[Emily Weber]
