Johnson is one of the most respected and best jockeys in the game at the moment and having ridden over 2000 winners he is also one of the most successful of all time. At the moment Johnson is the stable jockey for the powerful Phillip Hobbs yard which should ensure he gets a top ride in the National in April.
Richard Johnson has won just about every big race there is to win in the UK, except for the Grand National that is. So far the big one at Aintree has eluded him and he is sure to want to put an end to that as soon as possible. It has to be said that in recent years Richard Johnson has got nowhere near to winning the Grand National with a ninth place finish on board Tricky Trickster his best run back in 2010.
