Betfred Bowl Race Card 2013

The Betfred Bowl is one of the highlights of the entire National Hunt Calendar with plenty of Gold Cup horses heading to Liverpool for another chance to win a big Grade 1 race. Last season we saw Nacarat claim the win for Tom George with a fine front running performance. When the five day and 48 hour declarations are made for the race the full race card will be here for punters to study, it is a comprehensive guide for the race and punters are well advised to give it the once over before making a bet.

Race OverviewA competitive renewal and the biggest field in recent memory. Riverside Theatre is top of the tree over intermediate trips and ran well in last year's King George on his sole attempt at this sort of distance, but the step up to 3m1f could see MEDERMIT reverse Ascot and Cheltenham form with that rival. Riverside Theatre's stablemates Burton Port and Master Of The Hall are by no means making up the numbers, while the fast-improving Hunt Ball should not be underestimated despite taking a big step up in class. Suffice to say, the last two winners - Nacarat (2011) and What A Friend (2010) - have more on their plates this time.[Steve Boow]
